Hypoestes - Pink
Native to South Africa, Madagascar, and south east Asia, the polka dot plant is a lively and beautiful little plant with brightly spotted leaves that stand out especially well against other plants. Put them in a mass of ferns or ivies, and their colors will stand out in bright contrast. The pink variegated foliage will shimmer gorgeously under the light, so is the perfect means of adding some luminous and eye-catching greenery to a room! For the happiest plant, keep away from direct sunlight as this can fade the pink colouring.
Partial Sun: Plants that like this type of light are mostly the type of plants that grow on the forest floor, where they are somewhat protected against direct sunlight during some hours of the day. This is also a very normal light situation for many windows, usually with a west- or east- facing window with around 4 hours of direct light each day. This could also be a spot further away from a very sunny window.
